About Us

Founded by Tonaci Tran and Justin O' Neil, cinemalenses.com was created to provide a convenient, central and organized informational website dedicated to cinema lenses. We are NOT affiliated with any lens company featured on this website. This is intended to be an online encyclopedia/database lens information hub with a strict focus (no pun intended) on cinema lenses for 4k coverage and beyond. With the upcoming new cameras, such as the FF35 cameras from RED, there will be new types of lenses and our goal is to provide a place for lens fanatics to keep track of the different options.

There is great deal of information to compile so it will forever be a "work in progress." In order for this website to grow, we will also need your help so please feel free to send us information, lens pics or even corrections. If you are a lens manufacturer and prefer that your company not be listed we will be happy to remove it. Omission of any particular company is not a result of discrimination. If you are a cinema lens manufacturer and would like to be added, just send us an email with info and we'll gladly feature it on our website. We are an equal lens opportunity glass fanatic website.

2009 looks like it will be a great year for new cinema lenses. Back in 2007, I posted a thread regarding a lens compilation list in the REDUSER.net forum. Now two years later, I am excited with the launch of this website which I hope will be useful to lens addicts and those who are new to shooting with cinema glass.

Tonaci Tran is an actioncam flyer and camera operator whose credits include seven "Shot on Red" feature films

Justin O'Neil's credits coming soon.

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
